The social studies curriculum is published in Jordan with Arab culture based material that develops pride in own heritage besides understanding the role of all civilizations in human development. The program focuses on foundational skills students need for long lasting social studies success. It offers interactive activities that boost map skills and geography concepts. Students explore and apply concepts and skills on their own culture and history. Flexible and comprehensive material deliver standard based content and opportunities to dig deeper for greater understanding. The program emphasizes a sense of self and human worth and dignity which leads to recognition of the equality of all races as well as the rights of the individual. It promotes the students understanding of cultural diversity while protecting their own beliefs and identity. The instructional material allows for the social, emotional and intellectual growth of students on many levels while developing social studies concepts sequentially.
